Back in 2006, a small pilot study (22 MS patients) tested 240 mg/day of standardized ginkgo extract vs. placebo for 4 weeks.
They measured fatigue, depression, anxiety, cognitive function, physical and social stuff.
At first, both groups improved—no big difference.
But after ditching the few “negative responders” (who got worse on ginkgo), the ginkgo group showed real gains in cognitive, physical, and social function. Fatigue? They claimed it, but numbers were meh.
Bottom line: Promising for many MS folks, especially brain fog and daily function. Needs bigger studies. As a chiro who’s seen natural stuff help, I’d say it’s worth discussing with your doc if you’re dealing with MS.
